Mit "Overcompensate" veröffentlicht das amerikanische Duo die erste Hörprobe ihres neuen Albums "Clancy", das Mitte Mai erscheint.

Columbus (jmb) - "Next, week a new chapter begins": Mit diesen Worten kündigten Twenty One Pilots letzte Woche ihr Comeback an. Nun grüßt die Single "Overcompensate" als Vorbote des siebten Albums "Clancy". Im Musikvideo spielen Tyler Joseph und Josh Dun in einer Schulaula:

"Clancy" erscheint am 17. Mai über das Label Fueled By Ramen. Wie Twenty One Pilots auf Social Media ankündigten, wird das Album die Handlung der sorgfältig konstruierten Band-Fiktion weiterspinnen. Diese handelt von einem Mann namens Clancy, der aus einer Stadt namens Dema auf dem Kontinent Trench flieht, da diese von einer religiösen Diktatur kontrolliert wird. Auf der Insel Voldsøy erhält Clancy eine "wundersame Kraft". Am Ende des Videos von "Overcompensate" verkündet Joseph: "Ich kehre nach Trench zurück. Ich bin Clancy."
